JB Hi-Fi Joondalup

This project involved the construction of a 1,700 m² purpose-built retail showroom for JB Hi-Fi Home. While the original design specified tilt-up panel construction, MRO Property Services recommended a shift to offsite-manufactured precast concrete panels. This change allowed for a burnished finish on the slab and reduced the overall project timeframe to just 24 weeks—six weeks ahead of schedule.

Works began with bulk excavation, footings, and deadman anchors for the panels. Precast panels were delivered concurrently for immediate erection, followed by structural steel, external wall linings, windows, and roof installation. This approach created a fully enclosed internal area, allowing internal concrete pours and fitout works to proceed without weather-related delays.

The internal fitout included partition walls to divide the showroom and storage areas, construction of new bathrooms and office spaces, MDF wall linings, painting, lighting, ceilings, fixtures, and air conditioning. All services and components were installed to JB Hi-Fi specifications, enabling the client to commence operations immediately with minimal additional work.

External works included facades lined with CFC and Colorbond, construction of a new carpark with kerbing and line marking, exposed aggregate paving, and soft landscaping. Careful planning, organisation, and site management allowed MRO Property Services to deliver the project ahead of schedule, to a high standard, and with early possession provided to the client with no defects.
